A two-year-old lion has been discovered in a residential building in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.

The lion said to be owned by a yet to be named Indian national, is caged at Number 229, Muri Okunola Street in Victoria Island.

The Chairman of Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences, Yinka Egbeyemi, confirmed this to Channels Television on Sunday.

According to him, men of the Nigeria Police Force have been deployed in the area.

Egbeyemi also disclosed that efforts were ongoing by the state government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to evacuate the animal from the building.

He added that the Indian national who owns the lion has been invited for questioning.

shocked

All I want to know is why the asshole of an Indian national who has been invited for questioning still unnamed?

How much worse can our inferiority complex get?

If it were a Tijani, a Mubashiru or an Ikechukwu that owned this pet; the taskforce boss would have prided himself as being on top of the situation by spilling all their personal and private details.
But it is an almighty Indian, so he must be treated with the highest civility.

Tufiakwa!!

If Indians who have the worst mouth odour and who poop severally without cleaning their yansh can be treated like royalty in Lagos...then our inferiority complex is irredeemably topnotch.

Can you imagine?

A Nigerian cant try this in their country.

Why are they inviting him? The proper word should've be en "arrested" and not "invited". He should be charged for unlawful possession and endangering of lives .....

So they want to arrest the lion now. Besides the fact that Lion cubs and rare reptiles are sold online in Nigeria, I don't know why the government is not bothered whenever endegered species like apes, pythons, elephants, civet cats that can be used to preserve the nation's heritage and wild life are being hunted for food. Yet they are quick to clamp down on someone that only wants to domesticate and not eat them

Mheen! Foreigners dey enjoy for this country ooo! They just do whatever they want. Why? He must have bribed his way. They so much believed they can do anything and go scot free with the power of bribe.

Check below for what an isreali man who once lived in plateau said about bribe in Nigeria.
