No generation has been this exposed and globally connected.

We live in a day and age where from the corner of a room, we can lead a pack of common-minded people. Some platforms call them followers, others refer to them as friends

Moreover, we're just a tweet or post away from garnering the public's attention, albeit for a moment (when we go viral).

How does online social interaction affect our daily lives?

Our online social interactions greatly affect our daily lives. These effects may be either positive or negative. We have seen or heard people commit suicide as a result of being bullied or pressured by comparison; same applies to those who have gained recognition for something said or done.

In protecting our truths, how do we handle our many social media exchanges?

Our truths are greatly exposed and challenged during our online dialogues. Some opinions amplify the flaws in our perspectives while others verify the veracity of our perspectives.

Our conversations may go back and forth as we sometimes find ourselves trying to get others to at least see, if they can't understand our angle.

However, usually, it appears that the person with the sharpest wit, wins. Not the one with the more balanced outlook.

Applying objectivity and subjectivity when digesting opinions is very very crucial.

We must learn to apply objectivity when accepting the opinions of others. If not, we'd subject ourselves to the opinions of random strangers who know nothing about us.

Keyword, never take opinions of strangers personally.

In a world where we seek constant validation to keep our esteems above water, it's necessary to remain objective. If possible, create your own online safe space.

Protect your Soul.
Protect your Mind.
It's first the opinion of God, then yours and maybe others.

It takes two to connect, enlighten, contribute. wink smiley
