Sons and daughters of Annang ethic extraction in Akwa Ibom State University on Saturday, the 30th of November 2019, gathered in their numbers to mark the inauguration of their socio-cultural group ACASU.

The landmark event was held under the distinguished Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Udo Kieran who doubles as the Majority Leader of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the President of Ati-Annag Foundation International. Rt. Hon. Kieran, ably represented by Mr. Eseme Essien, charged members of ACASU to always endeavor to leave footprints on the sands of time and ensure that they live a life that is worthy of positive emulation.

The Akwa Ibom State Majority House Leader reminded ACASU of the history of the Annang nation and the struggles of our forebears underwent to stand on the side of justice, fairness and advancement. He cautioned ACASU members to continue to be firm, committed, dedicated to task, resolute and unwavering in all their undertakings.

Also speaking during the colorful event, Elder (Prof) Jeremiah Udom from Oruk Anam Local Government Area, challenged members of ACASU to do away with fear and stand with their heads tall at every time. He noted that the Constitution of the Federal Republic guarantees Freedom of Association that was inalienable.

Prof. Udom noted that as one of the founding fathers of Ati-Annang, no one should despise the days of little beginning. He said he was particularly humbled by the sheer determination of ACASU who accordingly to him, have obviously carved a niche for themselves. He further charged them to.......
