Why do Nairaland moderators love pushing unverified information to front page? Most times, such information or piece of news would have been debunked, still you find it in front page.

It's quite sickening.

The latest one is this Cardi B's "No Light" saga. It's a very big shame for Africa's biggest forum to carry the lie that has since been debunked. What the singer said was "no lie". A way to understand it would be to follow what she was saying before the phrase. I doubt if the mods watched the video. Obviously they were in a hurry to push it to FP because they know it would generate more clicks. Very bad.

They should learn to verify news before pushing it to FP.

It's shameful

She said "No lie, this shiit looks like Dominican Republic". But the mods moved it to front-page

How can someone know there's no light in a country why sitting in a moving vehicle in broad daylight?

Mynd44. Please remove that thread. Please

Africa’s biggest forum? That’s laughable. It’s mostly ghetto children and low class individuals who frequent here. It’s only a handful of other African nationals who know of this place’s existence.

If media outlets can benefit financially or viewer-wise from fake news they jump straight into it. As such your realization doesn’t surprise me. Debunking the news after making millions in most cases is as easy as creating a tiny disclaimer which most people normally overlook. The never ending search for traffic here has moderators doing unethical things to attract viewers. Posting fake news is small compared to other things they do.
