The Delta State Ministry Of Women Affairs has announced the suspension of the embargo placed on the adoption of children and registration of orphanage homes

In a special government announcement signed by Dona Obuseh the State Director of Information, the ministry called on prospective applicants to submit their applications for adoption or registration.

The announcement reads;

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans that Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development has lifted the embargo placed on the adoption of Children and the Registration of Orphanages in the State.

Consequently, all prospective applicants who wished to adopt children or register orphanages should submit their application for child adoption and registration of orphanages to the Child Development Department, Ministry of Women Affairs Community and Social Development, Headquarters, Asaba.

Accordingly, all applicants who have earlier applied for adoption of children but are yet to get approval for the release of children to them are by this announcement advised to visit the Ministry of Women Affairs for the revalidation of their application.
