Agulu Lake is one of the nicest scenes to behold in Anambra state with the water stretching as far as the eyes can see while standing on the newly constructed bridge,
The Lake has served as tourist center to foreigners, non-indigenes and students, especially, those in the secondary institutions. The Lake is located along Awka road in Agulu, Aniocha Local Government Area of the state. A potential tourist site, it is home to an estimated three hundred crocodiles and water turtles.
Fishing is not allowed on the lake and the crocodiles, being sacred animals to the people, cannot be killed. Legend says that these crocodiles were instrumental in delivering the town from enemy soldiers during the Nigerian civil war. It is believed that these sacred crocodiles and turtles transformed themselves into beautiful ladies and lured the soldiers unawares into the lake where they disappeared without trace. At noon the crocodiles and the turtles appear at the banks of the lake to take in sunlight.

Hotel rooms of N10,000 in Awka will probably be about 17,000 in Lagos and much finer than the Lagos ones also

Hotel rooms of N15,000 in Awka will be around N25,000 in Lagos, and yet much finer than the Lagos equivalent and cleaner.

Let us not forget the finer and prettier quality of babes in Anambra also, with naturally smooth skins and far sexier than what one sees in Lagos
