Siren heard at the US embassy in Baghdad amid reports of rocket attack

Rumours had it that Iraqi militias are behind the attack.. None of Iran or Iraq is yet to make an official statement.

Two rockets landed inside the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, home of the US Embassy in Iraq, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Iraqi military.

The Iraqi joint military command told CNN in Baghdad that "two Katyusha rockets landed inside the Green Zone in Baghdad. No reports of casualties." The incident took place just after midnight local time.

The CNN team in Baghdad heard sirens from inside the Green Zone and two explosions. It was not immediately clear who had fired the rockets or where they were fired from.

The rockets landed a day after Iran fired more than a dozen missiles at Iraqi bases housing US troops. The attack on Tuesday from Iran did not cause any US or Iraqi casualties.

Out of 22 missiles fired by Iran, US could not intercept any of them. And that military base is their NATO headquarter in the region 7000 allied forces.

Iran has further exposed US weaknesses. How will countries hosting their military base have confidence that their safety is guaranteed. No wonder the war had to stop.

It's a shame on the US.

US has no missile defense system

They were in so much hurry to go and steal Iraqi oil that they forgot to bring their missile defence system along.

They knew before the missile attacks and moved personnels out so that Iran can strike an arranged place.

It is something both parties diplomats may have arranged to pacify the noise in Iran and reduce the tensions.

Do you know they never fired down any of the rockets?
