Nairaland Top 10 Threads Of The Decade!! by MANNABBQGRILLS: 7:10am On Jan 12, 2020
This will be an uphill task, but with collective efforts we should all be able to do this as Nairaland members.

We want to compile a list of The Top 10 Thread on Nairaland in the last decade (The last 10 Years!)

That is any thread beginning from January 1st 2010 to December 31st 2019.

We have just like 3 to 4 thread on mind at the moment, so we need suggestions from other members to nominate, suggest and give a link to some threads they believe are the best they have come across on Nairaland in the past 10 years.
These threads can be from any section on Nairaland.

These are some of the Characteristics we will be looking out for in those Top 10 Threads of the decade.

Creative, Life-Changing, Funny/Witty, Inspiring, Grass to Grace, Emotional, First of it's kind, Victorious and Crazy!

These are some of the threads we have on mind right now,

(A particular thread that was started by a member lamenting about how his life situation was, about how things were not going well for him as a youth,
despite being a graduate,
how he couldn't afford even food to eat,
how he was striving out everyday to be a success,
and one of the respected member on the forum (MaziOmenuko) came to join him on the thread and added his own travails to the situation in one of the most funniest posts/thread you will ever read here!
Later, thousands of other members came out expressing what they are going through at that particular time in their lives.
This thread was the full definition of RANTING!
But the good thing was that somewhere along the thread, someone got in touch with the OP,
he got a good well paying job with 6 figure salary,
and came back to the thread months back to give thousand of Naira to Nairalanders!
What a beautiful story!!
(Can someone share a link please?!)

Then another thread we consider is one about a young lady who got pregnant,
she came online looking for help here,
she puts out all her personal information,
her house address, hospital address, her Facebook name etc, and many people were ready to help her,
until a certain lady/member on Nairaland (quite popular here) came up with some negative vibes,
telling everyone that this young girl was a scam!
Many people backed out from helping!
It was a huge blow to this pregnant young girl,
Until one or two other members have to find a way of meeting her offline and got to see that she was in dire need of urgent help,
then trust Nairalanders, the help and assistance started flowing in.
At the end of it all, She gave birth to a handsome boy,
she posted her boy's picture from the hospital and she kept posting how this handsome bobo was developing each passing months and every of his Birthday,
even his first day in school!
The last time we came across the thread, our Nairaland Baby of the Decade was around 5 or 6 years old!
That was some beautiful emotional thread!!

And another thread again is a thread that came up during the TOMATOES scarcity all over the nation, and a young industrious Nairaland (under 25 years old) by the moniker Ymodulus came up with a thread about how he cashed in Bigtime making so much money in the Tomatoes business, he was sharing with us how he travelled with another member all over the country and to some other neighbouring countries trying to get Tomatoes,
He made over 70 to 80 Million Naira in this Tomatoes Boom!
He's no more on Nairaland presently.
We wish him all the very best wherever he is now.
That was some inspiring thread!

Some other threads worth mentioning in the Top 10 thread on Nairaland for the decade are some thread by MaziOmenuko, especially (NYSC), Hmmmmmm, what a thread that was!

Some of Divepen's thread come to contention also,
one of the Greatest writer on this forum.

Then another thread, (Adebimpe, The Facebook Girl).
Back then, We told the OP to put the thread into a book and make millions.

Many other threads that we can't remember now, that is why we want your contribution so that we can all compile together the Top 10 thread of the Decade on Nairaland.
After all contributions, another thread will be opened officially titled 'NAIRALAND TOP TEN THREADS OF THE DECADE'!

Btw, We don't know if all these threads are still here or they have been removed or hidden by the moderators.

God bless Nairaland
God bless Nigeria.
