@DrOlufunmilayo tweeted: “I just read of a man who was accused of murder of his 31year old female partner. On doing autopsy: It was found she had very high levels of alcohol and Flagyl in her system which caused her heart to have an irregular beat that killed her. Lesson: NEVER TAKE ALCOHOL WITH FLAGYL.”

He added: “Doctors generally ALWAYS say you must stay away from alcohol while taking any medications. But Flagyl- wether as tablets or as cream- is known to be quite notorious when used together with alcohol, or within 3 days of drinking alcohol. It can cause very dangerous side effects.

“The interesting thing is people generally don’t even know when they do these things. Sometimes you take the Flagyl in the afternoon/evening and later at night go to party at a club and take alcohol- forgetting totally you took Flagyl earlier in the day. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.

“As a matter of fact, the standard medical advice is even that you should stay away FOR 3 DAYS after finishing the Flagyl before you even go near alcohol at all. It can damage your liver, ruin your heart, cause you serious stomach upset, give you irregular heartbeat and kill you.”

Lol, na lie oo, someone was high 24hrs prior to Ihidioha removal, 24hrs later, Ihidioha was removed and his problems already solved. If he was not high, may be he would have committed suicide before the end of the day. What are my saying, problems are dynamic, they are not always there. So if you can't handle it, my brother high urself and forget it for some time. Beer have saved many women and domestic violence. actually..not only alcohol. Some of these soft drinks are more harmful than the said alcohol when combined with certain drugs.

Alcohol consumption is not advised while taking any medicine so singling out Flagyl as a dangerous drug is somehow. There are more toxic meds out there that would ruin you if you take alcohol alongside.

I like to see them as the folks who peddled the "drinking coke and mango would kill you" gist of this generation.

You can't take clout chasing out of Twitter. It is very tempting to go after those numbers.

Big Lie. I have been doing it for years and nothing has happened. In fact after every night out drinking beer and eating suya, I must drink flagyl to avoid stomach upsets. The other day one Nigerian doctor said it is deadly to drink fanta and vitamin C. It is only in Nigeria we hear these fables.

Nothing will happen if you take tramadol with alcohol ! back then when i was flying high on tramadol, my friend will take me out to beer parlor and before leaving that beer parlor, i will pop up to 3 to 4 pills of 225mg with heineken, then go back home and fly high for hours watching series before falling asleep and notin will happen !

They even say when you pop pills with cocacola, na to die be dat ! I have popped pills with coke lots of times before, and nothing happened !
