Hongqi, the premium car brand of China’s FAW group, has revealed the new H9 luxury sedan designed to rival models like the Mercedes S-Class, the Audi A8 and the BMW 7-Series.

Hongqi says the styling of the new H9, which looks similar to the revised H7 that was teased last month, is part of Hongqi’s latest design language.

Doesn't look bad at all. The truth is that with the current eagerness and rate the Chinese automobile manufacturers are penetrating countries means that many big names in automobile industry would start suffering low income figures which will eventually give rise to mergers or even bankruptcy.

Interestingly the cost of a premium car brands can get you two very beautiful of its Chinese counterpart which are atimes counterfeit versions. Their eager and constant improvement on the quality of the counterfeit versions make you wonder if buying the original premium brand is even worth it since they share the same platform, chassis and even spare parts in most cases.

Dangote chose cheap Chinese trucks over expensive big names like IVECO, MAN, Mercedes, VW, Scania, Mack etc and its been paying off.

Chinese companies even go as far as soliciting for partnership proposals to foreigners for establishment of Assembly plants in foreign countries with very endearing terms. I have a number of such proposals for Sedan, SUV/Pickup Assembly line, Tricycle and light truck. With well detailed diagrams, feasibility studies and wowing relevant information that demystifies automobile manufacturing for dummies. It is worthy of note that they are copiously penetrating the African Market with this strategy. Today you can see brand names on our roads like JAC, Great Wall, Geely, Trumchi, GAC and of course our dear Innoson brands to mention but a few
