Please i need a candid advice on this issue. My sister husband is in abroad, and they have a flat at their backyard that's useless. She said I and my wife should relocate there in oder for her not to feel nonely and also for us to avoid paying rent till we complete our own site. Please is it adviceable? Some Says is good while some says it's bad

Honestly I see nothing wrong with it, she's your sister right? And she offered for you to stay there with her, yo didn't beg for it. Go ahead, move in except she has an attitude normally that you don't like

In my opinion if your wife agrees then it’s fine afterall she is your sister and not a stranger

The ‘but’ I can envisage is a series of run ins between your sister and wifey because they are both women and by now you should have an idea of how women interact with women especially in in-law scenarios

If the above is well catered for then you are good to go afterall no one to impress

Please note that my thoughts above is only in a case if maybe you aren’t too buoyant to afford a renewed rent but if you do then think thrice

Some questions do not need to be asked....it's a matter of choice, go and rent an apartment till you finish your house, or you save money and stay in a rent free place, saving more to complete yours...correct your English and good luck.

You said the flat is 'useless' and you want to move there? .......unoccupied you meant!

There's absolutely nothing wrong moving there.It's a good gesture and saves you money.

If his sister is sane... He should relocate to her house.

my wife is in support.

A relative of mine relocated to the Palace his sister built in the village. When I say Palace, i mean it. Meanwhile his sister lives comfortably in Abuja and hardly travels home. Now, the only issue I find puzzling is that he calls his younger sister "Aunty" As long as you and your wife can be humble, live there and save money.

Candid advice.
But..... like you mentioned, women are very unpredictable and what you're seeing now as "they will get along" will change under the slightest condition that doesn't appeal to his sister.
You see, having encountered women over the years, those who's husband's are unavailable have a slight "unfriendly" attitude towards those who's husband's are available. Meaning, this can be a trigger to his sister getting annoyed easily over anything.
Please if OP has the means, just pay rent and wait till you complete your accommodation.
The probability of trouble brewing under 2 months is very very high....

Yes and no advice depends on the advisor's experience. Personally, I like to give myself respect especially with family. I'd rather perch with strangers- afterall, some unforeseen problems in future would not trouble me too much. But family, I don't mess with it.

Take the deal abeg. You guys are family. Any contrary decision with send a wrong signal. I feel terrible anytime I see traces or tension/mistrust/fear amongst siblings when they’ve grown up.

lucky you, as long as ur wife behaves herself, no wahala. She's ur sister and even if u guys have an issue or two, ur wife must not take sides,she should allow u guys be siblings. I have a very foolish sis in law, I had a minor clash wit my brother, the witch ensured that my brother kept malice wit me for years. Of cos we all later settled but it has not being the same.
So take the free flat and hurry up in building urs. cheers

It depends on you. If you know how to be a real man and balance the situation between two women, it's fine. But if you know you're a weak man and women can control you, don't do it.
