Common things are described before. The most important thing is you should follow some photo editing tutorials to take the idea.

What you really want to do? a graphic designer or an animator?

Figure out what you need, master it and stick.

This is the mistake designers do make at the beginning, wanting to learn thousands of things out the beginning, it's going to backfire later.

I won't say there's a bad or bad graphics softwares. They're tools in designers hands, and how well you can master and use the tool is what matters.

Master any of those softwares and you're good to go.

By recommendation... I'll say you should go with Adobe Illustrator
