Let's compare between President Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan when they both visited Borno state

In 2015, precisely on February 27, the then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan visited Borno state after Boko Haram struck Baga community with many feared killed. He went straight down to Baga (A village under Kukawa LGA) and sympathized with the victims over an attack done by the Boko Haram terrorists. He saw the victims firsthand and assured them of his government's readiness to decisively deal with the terrorists. We all witnessed how that administration routed the insurgents to the extent that elections were held without any security glitch as many feared.

on February 12, 2020 President Muhammadu Buhari visited the same Borno state's capital, Maiduguri following another Boko Haram's attack in Auno. Instead of going straight to Auno, the President who himself is a former military general opted to visit the Shehu in his palace and condoled his eminence over an attack done by the terrorists which occurred in the city of Auno.

It is important to mention here that the community of Baga that Jonathan visited is 193km from Maiduguri while Auno is 25km away from Maiduguri.

Isn't the change clear enough that a man with military trainings chose to visit the Shehu to condole with him instead of the directly impacted victims of the dastardly act.

May God forgive all those who fought very hard to bring this change on Nigerians in 2015.

The only difference is that the residents of Maiduguri seems to be getting wiser now.

No need for any stupid comparison. The continued existence of Boko Haram till this day means that both past and present administration has not put in a sincere effort to curb the evil menace.
Where are the weapons being used by Boko Haram coming from? They are making use of high caliber military hardware. Dont we have security agencies in all seaports, airports and land borders?
There is still reasonable level of enforcement of the importation of mundane goods such as cecond hand clothings, groceries, vegetable oil, rice etc from the land borders such that everyone felt the impact almost immediately.

Why is the same seriousness not shown to end the supplies of weapons and and food supplies to the untrained illiterates.

Why havnt there been sincere efforts in security intelligence gathering to unravel their sponsors and bring them to book.

Why didn't the previous government or the present government make use of foreign and more advanced military aid to stop the terrorists considering the fact that our local personnel have not been able to succeed.

Terrorism fight is a very big business for the stakeholders. The purchase of weapons, arms and ammunitions, Medical supplies, vehicles, clothings and accoutrements, feeding and other logistics and even the manning of IDPs are juicy contracts handled by companies affiliated to the ruling class. They wouldn't want the Gold mine to come to end Irrespective of the thousands of lives being wasted on a daily basis.

Like I said before the residents booed because they are getting wiser.
