The purpose of this thread is to help serious minded people who have demonstrated seriousness but lack the capacity to develop independently without guidance, to meet willing mentors who may help them to develop in capacity in any way possible.

What is Mentoring?
A mentorship is a relationship formed between a mentor and mentee with the goal of sharing knowledge and expertise between the mentor and the mentee. It can be a formal relationship with written goals and scheduled meeting times or it can be as informal as an occasional chat or email exchange, a mentor mustn’t have to be a qualified trainer or an expert in the role the mentee carries out.

Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is a coach, guide, tutor, facilitator, counselor and trusted advisor. A mentor is someone willing to spend his or her time and expertise to guide the development of another person.
Who is a Mentee?
A mentee is a student, protégé, apprentice and eager learner. A mentee is someone who wants to learn from someone who knows and seeks their valuable advice in order to grow personally and/or professionally.

What is the difference between MENTOR and MENTEE?
They traditionally meet through either professional connections or personal networking. Mentors often seek to mentor talented or “coachable” individuals, while mentees seek mentors who possess the sort of experience and connections they need to further their careers

Activities have included educational visits, advocacy, practical advice and more. These activities involve a person or organization with skills, experience or knowledge, sharing with someone who has requested assistance in specific areas
In general, the purpose of mentoring is to support individual development by providing both career and psycho social support. It is essential that a Mentor can draw on personal expertise and experience. They may also consult “subject experts” who have more detailed or specific knowledge of a particular issue.
