Conducts training on Econometrics Analysis
The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Employability (CEE), Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, recently awarded fourth year students of Economics, Accounting, Banking and Finance and Business Administration, certificates of accomplishment, having undergone entrepreneurship training in Econometrics Analysis at the Centre. Sixty seven (67) students benefited from the special training and award.

Dr. Makuachukwu Ojide making opening remarks

In his introductory speech at the event, which took place at the Centre’s Conference Hall, Ag. Director of the Centre, Dr. Makuachukwu Ojide, informed the students that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba has given mandate to the Centre to promote entrepreneurship and employability among students and members of the host community, iterating that employability has a lot to do with skills acquisition, as people are employed based on the skills they possess. He revealed to the students that the training was to expose them on the basics of Econometrics Analysis, which fundamentally deals on software, like, EVIEW, STATA and SPSS and that the certificates awarded to them was to prove that they have skills in the specific subject, to enhance their employability after school. Dr Ojide encouraged students to go further to enhance their skills in the programme, through reading and research, stating that the training has introduced them adequately to the programme.

The Director further advised the trainees not to take the training for granted, despite that it was free, as well as the certificates awarded to them, which was made possible by the generous contributions of staff of the Centre, adding that, he wants students to testify that CEE AE-FUNAI added value to their lives.
