IKENNA351 CONSULTANCY/CAR PRE-PURCHASE SERVICES.

A lot of people have brought Lions to me for diagnosis & repairs, only to be informed that their newly acquired Lions were running with wrong or tampered Engine ECUs and BSI units or abused wiring harnesses which make their Lions undrivable or with horrible issues.

A lot of people have purchased lions with engines, transmissions or suspensions that were against their original wants in cars because of no professional guidance or explanation of available engines, transmissions or suspensions that would have best serve their wants in Peugeot models they are interested in.

I can prevent these nightmares for you when choosing a used Peugeot Vehicle to acquire, Foreign or Nigerian used . I will search for Lion model of your choosing or you are interested in, inspect and recommend good ones worth purchasing till you pick one that satisfies you, based on my findings from inspections of them in Abuja or environs. You can choose to utilize my knowledge on these Peugeot Vehicles to get a sound clean used Lion of your dream or you choose other options available to you.

If your desire is to have private consultations with a Peugeot specialist like me on lion's maintainance tips, how to avoid abusing lions or how to keep a lion in good condition throughout your ownership of the vehicle, from time to time, until you get hang of it, then this consultancy services will serve you as well.

Likewise, this service is available for those interested in buying Brand New Peugeot Vehicles as well. Now, you get to know all trims and specifications available for a particular model of new Peugeot vehicle you are interested in, by interpreting for you the features, engines, transmissions and specifications available for the Peugeot model you are interested in, to help you choose which one best suit your purpose, need or want in a new Peugeot.

The charge for Pre-purchase inspection is per a Peugeot vehicle, which also includes private consultation on maintenance tips and other clarifications on the model you request for, from time to time.

If you have a particular Peugeot vehicle in mind that you already want to purchase and the lion is very far or not in Abuja city and you need the lion to be physically inspected before purchase, note that this service does not cover it. If the location of the vehicle you would want me to inspect for you is outside Abuja town, the client will have to pay for the transportation (to & fro), if I choose/decide to go out of Abuja to do the inspection which this service doesn't cover.

I also carry out verification of custom papers for authenticity, for Peugeot Vehicles clients are interested in, when a client request for the verification of the custom papers and the payments (the small fee for the verification is to be paid by the client).

However, if all you need is advice and guide on getting a good Peugeot vehicle in good condition, what to look out for if you have to inspect the lion by yourself, full interpretation of the lion specifications, how to detect a severe abused lion on sale or you need a private consultation on review of Peugeot vehicle(s) you are considering to buy, to help you understand them and make your choice, then this service will serve you on that option too. But if you are not comfortable with the above listed conditions, then don't pay or request for this service.

Note that if after reading this or contacting me privately after I have sent you this terms of service and you choose not to use the service to do your vehicle purchase for whatever reason and the newly purchased Peugeot vehicle starts giving you nightmares or headaches after the purchase, I will not attend to you privately if you try to get this service for free from me, since you made your choice to risk it.

Mr IK just one simple question, please don't ask me to pay, I'm shipping in a 406 I to the country ND the purpose is for ehailing, like Uber, Bolt, Opay and indriver, do you think it's a wise idea because I'm tired of this Toyota cars, they're very mad and stupid cars. The ones I gave out for Uber I can't drive it because I'm used to driving Europe cars. Do you think 406 2007, 2.0L diesel engine would be good for ehailing?

Some knowledge comes from experience, practical experience and not just theory cos sometimes theory will say one thing and practical will be another thing entirely, though the theory knowledge will give you a clue.

If own and drive PSA vehicles with THP, VTi and other newer Peugeot Engines in newer Peugeot vehicles like Peugeot 207, 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 508, RCZ, etc, the Peugeot recommended Engine oil from Total is now available in Abuja at cheaper price (N17,500 per 5-liter, as of today 10/01/2021).

If you don't want to be complaining of frequent turbocharger failure, timing chain & tensioner failures, complete engine failure, rapid oil burn or oil shortage, etc, go and get yours now, as many as you can, before it goes out of stock or price increases. I purchased 2 containers (10 liters) for a client this afternoon when I saw them at Zone 4 Junction Total fuel station, Abuja.

Also, users of some other PSA engines like EW10J4 can also use the oil, including other PSA Engines recommended to use B71 2297 oil certification which I have listed numerous times.

THE PROBLEMATIC PEUGEOT 307.

A neighbor of mine has 2 Peugeot 307 SW phase II (T6), among other non Peugeot cars in his fleet, even more expensive than the 307. Of course, he didn't buy the two 307 at once. Whatever that transpired between him and the first one, must have made him get the 2nd. Both are his daily driver (utility cars) for years we are neighbors. The interesting thing is, he has never for once approached me to complain of any issue regarding those his two lions and seeking for solutions, as privilege he has having a Peugeot specialist as a neighbor for some free services or advice. None of the two 307 has ever been towed out or towed in. Yet everyday, he drives out and drives in from work, in whichever of the 2 he chooses.

Around March 2020, I needed to travel to Kaduna to inspect and possibly purchase a lion for a client. I had to go by public transport, considering I was expecting to drive the car back to Abuja, if the car checks out to my expectation and that of the client. So I entered Peugeot 307 Stick-shift with TU5JP4 for the journey as a passenger. The driver added N3,000 petrol (about 20liters at the time) before the 240 km journey fully started (which lasted for about 2.5 hours or so). The check engine light was on and average speed was about 110km/h. When we arrived Kaduna city, I checked the fuel gauge and the needle shifted just a little from where it was before we left the fuel station, indicating the fuel consumption on the entire journey was less than 10 liters, even with the check engine light on (indication that there was an injection, ignition or emission issue that would increase the fuel consumption from the normal), yet the car could still consume that low. I am not a fuel economy person and never was. But I couldn't help but respect a Vehicle that proved what the manufacturer (Peugeot) claimed about his fuel efficiency.

This woman years ago bought a Tokunbo Peugeot 307 Auto with EW10J4 and sought for my advice on how to keep the car in good condition for years ahead. Years passed and each time I saw or drove the car, he was still as good as I met him the very first time. According to the woman/owner, the car never gave her the cause to tamper any system, even as she was traveling with the car often. She was giving the car what he needed and the car was giving her back what she wanted from him and both were happy.

Another woman came this afternoon to purchase new OEM thermostat I had for sale (luckily for her, I had only one left). She needed it for her Peugeot 307 Auto with TU5JP4, after she found my past activities/words on Nairaland concerning thermostat removal and consequences. Her thermostat was removed by a Peugeot dealership (name withheld) here in Abuja because it's "not useful to the engine" according to dealership technician. As if that was not enough, they tampered and messed up wiring connections to the upstream oxygen sensor in the engine bay, to the point that they were afraid to reconnect the sensor for fear of blowing something up, for they didn't trust the connections they did and left the sensor disconnected, according to her and her husband. And when I checked the wrong wiring connections they did on that sensor, the dealership technician was right. If they had reconnected the sensor, it would have first blew up the Engine ECU, followed by BSM. I reversed/corrected the crappy dangerous connections to the sensor, installed the new OEM thermostat and systems started working well again, including the oxygen sensor that was condemned. She was excited that she wouldn't need to spend about 50k or so sourcing for new OEM upstream oxygen sensor anymore. I was thinking in my mind the worst that she would have faced if someone had reconnected the sensor mistakenly with that terrible wrong connection done at Peugeot dealership, a dealership that removes engine cooling system thermostat like average local Nigerian mechanics. According to the owner, this car has only been driven few months in Nigeria and was suddenly sentenced to early grave few days ago by a Nigerian Peugeot Dealership. Now I have given her advise/education to apply in maintenance of her Peugeot 307, if she truly wants to experience years of trouble-free ownership, just like the earlier woman and many others.

There is no denying that most Peugeot mechanics and some owners of Peugeot 307 in Nigeria abuse these vehicles, mercilessly. You need to have a glimpse of some of the things I encounter while searching and inspecting lions for clients. But fact still remain that Peugeot 307 is one of the best dependable and durable car with Lion logo, considering many owners I know enjoying theirs for years and still wanting to buy more or change to another one, irrespective of the abused ones found in a every nook and cranny in Nigeria with "For Sale" signs. I know a lot of Peugeot 307 users enjoying their lions which I have never touched or repaired their lions. Meaning, even without a specialist advise, they chose not to abuse their lions just like my neighbor is doing. Mechanics contribute to abuse or killing of Peugeot 307 in Nigeria, but they didn't hold you at gun point to not walk away and find better solutions, just like the 2nd 307 woman did this afternoon. Even if they kill one part of your Car system today, why keep going back to same place to have the remaining parts of the vehicle to be destroyed, waiting for the day you go online and offline and start complaining how problematic and horrible Peugeot 307 are, to whoever cares to listen?

The 307 is already an old car (about 3 successors so far). But still has need he provides to some individuals and families. And 307 was not even the fastest hatchback in his era, but was a fantastic dependable utility car and fun car as well (still remember the day I test drove the Feline version). Sure, he has his weaknesses just like every other car has. He had few issues earlier ones had which were sorted out eventually. And there are a lot of tips on how to prevent unecessary issues from coming up in the first place in these 307s.

These Nigerians who don't encounter all these nightmares that some people bitch about on Peugeot 307, have you ever bothered to ask yourself why your own experience sucks and what to do about it?
