Fear of coronavirus killing as coronavirus itself

According to the latest statistics sourced from the Opera News Hub of the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, more than 372,000 cases have been reported worldwide and more than 16,000 death recorded. But as the world keeps battling to save people's life from the infection of the virus, so also it is fighting MISINFORMATION about it.

Misinformation in itself is a disease from which People die of everyday. I believe, in my opinion, that the number of death resulting from misinformation might be higher than the cause of that erroneous information itself

In Iran, for example, about 194 was said to have died from taking bootleg alcohol and 1000 people poisoned trying to take uncertified preventive measures against coronavirus.

You can have a read of that HERE..

In Nigeria, lots of people have as well been poisoned taking chloroquine suggested by the 'almighty' Donald Trump.

Also read that HERE..

According to a report by Daily Mail, a death has been recorded in the US of a man who took the Trump suggested chloroquine.

I'm sure there are a lot of unreported casualties that would have happened due to misinformation about the coronavirus, which could have been prevented.

The media houses are not helping in dousing panic result by their own reportage.

People keep hurting themselves in response to the fear created by people reporting the news and rumored solutions proffer by people they seem to look up to for help.

People should stop panic reactions to things they don't understand.

A large number of naysayers will tell you it's just common cold and prescribe solutions to that effect. But it is not just a flu. So no solution should be taking seriously without a say from an expert.

If you have to take drugs, let it be prescribed by your doctor or a medical expert. Not a celebrity, a role model or a high placed figure at home or the society.

This is not the time for 'them say, them say' (rumor mills) - it is a season we listened more to professionals and experts.

I know it's cheaper listening to people who have once tried something that works, but be informed that whatever they took or whatever worked or works for them might not work for you.

Stay safe and listen more to experts on any issues that involves life and your health, not necessarily someone you respect.

Lots of casualties are avoidable once information is rightly sourced.

Stop the unnecessary deaths. Stop the self harm. It is but for a season, we will overcome COVID-19.
