With the backing of the premiers of Germany’s two most powerful states, the Bundesliga could resume May 9.
German Bundesliga could resume May 9, the regional leaders of the two largest states, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia said on Monday, but games can only take place without fans to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.

Bavarian state premier Markus Soeder said told Bild “completely unimaginable to have spectators ” in the stadiums given for the needed social distancing to help curb the spread of the COVID-19.

Armin Laschet the premier of North Rhino-Westphalia state, home to Borrusia Dortmund said the Bundesliga could resume ” on condition that there is a thought out concept”
