CUBAN DOCTORS ARRIVE SUNDAY NIGHT

Meanwhile, more than 200 Cuban health professionals are expected to arrive in the country to help SA in its fight against Covid-19. This while South Africa itself has donated medical supplies to Cuba.

The 217 members of the Cuba "Medical Brigade" to SA include family physicians, epidemiologists, biologists, healthcare technology experts, engineering experts, biotechnology experts and other specialists. They will be deployed throughout the country.

South Africa at one point was following the UK's infection curve and has stunned observers in the way it has slowed the spread of the virus. Thousands of community health workers have been screening millions of people for coronavirus.
