There's absolutely nothing you can do to change the fact. Totally false. It is random. A growing child can love the dad more today and love the mom more another time...or even stay fixated on one parent for a very long time (be it the dad or mom.)

so this is a issue? well, when i was in primary and secondary school i loved my father more than my mother and it was so obvious. Not until i was in tertiary institution did i start loving my mother than my father.

my wife family are much closer to my children than my family. They treat my children with love. In fact I travelled for a job one week after her birth and stay over 7 months without seeing the. I remember she don't always allow me to Carry her

You have been told. Let your daughter be. She is just a child and will change her mind a 1000 times. You are her favorite now, enjoy it while it lasts.

This isn't remotely an issue. I said the same to my mum when I was growing. My dad was hardly around and she was the one doing the primary raising, instilling discipline, creating boundaries.

It's a very normal reaction to the parent who isn't around and who hardly disciplines them. You the good guy, she's the bad guy.

They grow out of it though, they turn to teenagers and they realise no parent is perfect, that in fact, the primary care giver is the one they love more.

I think you should enjoy it while it lasts and try to have a good relationship with your daughter. If not, in the next dozen years, you'd be wondering what happened the child that loved you so much.

You are still learning more about kids, kids usually like/love the softer parent

At 5 kids can be annoying assuming she spents more time with mum, mum has to do most of the teaching and correcting hence a child would take it as being hard on her and daddy taken as being the softer one

Girl child loves Daddy more while the boy child loves Mummy more.


As for me, I won my husband because I have 3boys and 1girl,My husband is always more closer to the girl than the boys while I'm more attached to the boys than the girl.
Growing up too, I'm more attached to my father than my mom while my brothers are more attached to my mom.

Maybe your wife punishes and shout at them too much but you don't. I loved my dad more than my mum when growing up. My dad basically gave me anything I asked for but my mum was too strict. But now, my mum is like my best friend. I do all my woman talk with her, talks that my dad cannot relate with or is just too shy to talk about with a woman.

Leave the child, with time, she will love you both equally because she will see the value of her mother.
