Looking, intently, through Life’s always-revealing crystals;

In an imperative trip down the past lane;

Stands a lurid painting of the over five-decade old

Infant – the colored-master’s tainted work of art;

The ever-obedient slave – laughing joyously at

The severe whips of corruption – reveling in

Straggling all over the field of advancement –

Thus earning a spot in rating as still ‘developing.’

This pathetic history remains grounded on the portrait

Of baleful leadership – spewing out incongruous

Policies – all to the injury of the deficient masses.

Once again, the red carpet of choice has been

Rolled out – in colorful introspective embroidery.

It’s time to veer off the path of platitude; hurling

Back these stained elements; physicians of no value.

The quest for empowering the right good-doers

Must be sculptured on the base of unity; a

Collection of faithfuls – donning intransigent vests.

This quest begins with you!

In the mind,

What truly lies?

Wanting, not wanting,

Seeking, not seeking –

A cycle of confusion.




In the mind,

Castles are built,

Desires sprout out,

Wishes spring forth,

How fulfilled are they?

All – but, surely, not all.




In the mind,

Imaginations are cast,

Dreams are shaped,

But really how true?

The mind, in you.




In the mind

Lies a deep cauldron,

Habiting good and evil.

The will – an ultimate prize;

A victim or victor,

All, in the mind.
