No doubt, prayer is essential but we can pray from anywhere.

Bros, people have to feed which simply means market has to be opened for individuals but church gathering should be suspended for now.
Every member should worship at home or organize a house fellowship. It doesn't mean God won't answer our prayers
Ejima1:

Exactly, how can they allow people for 6 Hours in Market and not allow them for two hours in church

Prayer is also essential

I hope and pray that Nigeria will be riddled of religion without godliness.

i do not also see any reason why people would b allow to go market and stop people from going to church. It doesnt add up

There should be some kind of universal qualification system to become a religious minister, including a mental health check. It should not be this easy for anyone to become one

There are alternatives to 'church gathering' as individuals can still meet at family or house fellowship level. But there is no alternative to going to market. People must feed.

Abi Bishop will feed his flock (tens of thousands) with physical food after feeding them with spiritual food? Jesus did it, Bishop should also do it.

Bishop Oyedepo should announce free lunch for all worshippers on Sunday with an additional #5000 pocket money for indingent worshippers every Sunday.

And let no pastor sermonise worshippers to give. The giving should be voluntary and the poor should not be made to feel as if they sinned by not giving or that they are blocking their source of blessings by not paying tithe.

The gospel has gone beyond the elementary doctrines of tithing, giving and prosperity.

Your first paragraph is the correct Answer via Oyedepo statement.

I havent liked this businessman disguised as a pastor, broad daylight robbery go on in his church in d name of tithes, dis man is not a pastor abeg, anybody can be a pastor start up his/her own church& start looting people's money.. d gullible ones wuld soon overrun this post with"touch nt thy anointed & do d prophet no harm" well I've touched him all over...

Markets & church are nt d same his Ist service would not garner less than 100k followers all packed together like sardines, in d need t make sure more tithe is recovered for months of absence, every social distancing rule would be broken..

Oyedepo is right. What is the meaning of this country? I never believe Nigeria can stop Churches and Mosques from observing Sundays and Fridays prayers. Go to ATM machines, Banks, Markets even road side and see the populations of people. Lets our government remove the embargo placed on Religious center. I cry every time i pass through the central Mosque in my community and see it closed always. God please come and heal our Land.

It's easier to use facemask to market bt kind of difficult to church.... Besides market is essential as source of food... Where two or more people gather its said that the lord is there with them... A family can pray to God in their home... What ever happened to televised service... One thing we should be concerned about now is education system going down the drain.... The online thing isn't working.

Government should pass a bill on religion worship to be made strictly on line, on air. If u want to listen to your pastor/Imam sermon tune to radio or TV, or Instagram etc turn all the worship centers to Malls, Super marker, residential apartment etc.

It is not compulsory that we go to church. We can pray at home and God will answer us. However, we cannot do without going to the market to buy food as they cannot be planted and manufactured overnight at home. There's no basis for comparing the two of them.
