Her name is Babra Laurilliard, she is over 60 years old, she reportedly died at a hotel with her alleged boyfriend in Okuokoko in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The deceased came into Nigeria on the invitation of her boyfriend who kept her in a hotel in Warri before transferring her to another hotel where she died, it was learned.

It was gathered that before the deceased’s death she coughed profusely and had difficulty in breathing and stooling.

She was rushed to an undisclosed hospital but her condition deteriorated just as she gave up the ghost.

Our reporter gathered from a reliable source that the white lady came to Nigeria since March, 2020 to visit her Yahoo Boy friend and she was lodged in a hotel in Osubi town until she fell sick recently.

The source revealed that when her health condition became worse she was rushed to a private clinic in Osubi but gave up the ghost this morning before her Nigerian boyfriend took her corpse the Orerokpe Police Division.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Onome Onowakpoyeya, while confirming the story, said it was the late white lady’s boyfriend that brought the corpse to the Orerokpe Police Station and revealed to the police that she cough for about a week until she died on Sunday morning.

She stressed that blood sample of the corpse, the boyfriend and others who might have had contact with the late white lady have been taken to one of the isolation centres in the state for quarantine.

On his part, Okpe Local Government Council chairman, Chief Julius Jessa Scot, while also confirming the story said there was no intension in Orerokpe town but a corpse of a white lady was brought to the police station by a man but he cannot say now that she of COVID-19 until the result of the samples are out.

“So to satisfy everyone, we decided to quarantine the boy and take blood sample of the corpse of the white lady for test”, he added.

When contacted for comments, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa confirmed the report in a telephone chat with Our Correspondent in Warri.

CP Inuwa said, “She’s a US Citizen. She came to Nigeria. She’s over 60years. She’s a friend to one of the Nigerian boys. She visited him in Nigeria. He kept her in a hotel in Warri before transferring her to that hotel around Orerokpe side.

“While they were together for about a week, the woman was coughing and having difficulty in breathing as well as having difficulty in stooling.

” So, they took her to the hospital yesterday where her condition became worse and eventually, she gave up. That her so-called boyfriend is now with the police in Orerokpe.”

While noting that he called the Commissioner for Health in Delta State to contact the NCDC given the symptoms the deceased gave before she died, CP Inuwa, however, warned Policemen to be very careful with the manner they deal with the said boyfriend so as not to fall victims and get infected with the dreaded Coronavirus.
