I hope airbnb doesn't collapse after this not necessarily because of covid-19 lockdown all over the world but people's reaction to allowing others stay in their house because of the fear of the virus

Until vaccines are developed and deployed, the world will never return to the way it used to be.
More businesses are going to be affected, going forward.

yh very smart move. Laid off member can always use their cabbie independently.

U wont believe someone said '' Uber nah job?''

They didn't sack drivers. It is in-house staff that they sacked.

they are not referring to those who drive cabs on the platform, those are not employees, these are direct employees who handle customer relations.

Actually it’s not it’s government’s policies in sm countries that’s frustrating the model. Uber said they are not a transport company bt a tech coy and riders aren’t exactly employees who are on sm salary bt sm governments think otherwise.

They now want Uber to pay employee benefits during this Covid19 pandemic lockdown cos the government has exempted them based on policies bt Uber can’t afford that.

This doesn’t affect Nigeria’s Uber platform.

But it was constitutionally signed to apply and get government's approval before laying off workers. Hope uber did not breach the law order?

Do they even need to sack? Or how about relaxing them without sacking and re-strategise the modalities of the business in this critical times demanding urgent critical measures and solutions that will easily attract and suits the patronisers taste which surely boost and robust the company's profits...?

I sense hard time excuses due to excessive greed and selfishness!!
