When the number of confirmed cases was about 100, Buhari shutdown some states and the FCT.
Now that it is close to 6,000 cases, he is gradually easing lockdown.

We got it wrong from the beginning by under testing.

The curve would never be flattened until it gets to its peak.

cry cry kiss

Copy cat. sad

What curve are you talking about?

Because America don talk of flattening the curve, the fancy phrase don enta your mouth na, abi?

Nonsense. sad

The curve appears to be upward trending like an abnormal supply curve. At this point, it is only God who can flatten or slope it downward. We as a nation are all on our own.

For a case like Nigeria, where the testing is far lagging behind. Forget about fancy terms like upward trends or flatting curve, they are not applicable.

Like someone in the front told me the other day, they assume that most people have gotten the virus, experienced mild symptoms or didn’t experience any symptom at all and have recovered.

So this testing is more or less useless, just continue to practice your social distancing, washing your hands and face masks in public.

If Nigeria up the testing and start testing 50,000 people a day, you will be amazed how the positive cases will skyrocket in a single day, and these would have been people that would have recovered on their own plus a few serious cases and deaths with no fanfare.

So, fashy all these NCDC daily stats, they are useless. If you truly want to know when we will start flatting the curve, visit your neighborhood, Resturant any public place and gauge people acceptance and adherence to social distancing & face mask...the point were most people start taking precaution and are self conscious of those two things, that is when the curve will start flatting, you don’t need NCDC to tell you that.

Its their immunity system that's saving them. The virus goes naturally after d anti bodies on d system fight it. That's how they get treated.

Lorazepam:

I know they can't be getting exactly the same numbers of cases daily, but due to inconsistent testing, it is strange to get 50 something cases for days in a row, swing to 170, to 90, to 179 then back to 40 something. There was even a particular day(s) no case was recorded for Lagos state. We can't even plot a graph with those kind of figures to determine if the curve is flattening or whether a peak has been reached because the numbers keep swinging between extremes.

I think it is due to inconsistent testing sha, maybe they test 500 in one day, and the next day they test 200, this is just my opinion anyways, as i don't know the average number of tests Lagos state carries out daily.

If you have a contrary opinion or information, you are free to share if you so desire.
Well you said “undulating” which is used to describe smooth transition and this I think is normal. Maybe “erratic” would be a better word. Moving from 50 to more than double of that and maybe back down to zero might be due to unavailability of testing materials and hence inconsistent testing like you correctly said.

Lagos results are terribly inconsistent, i wonder how they do their testing sef, the numbers just keep undulating up and down
Meanwhile NCDC claims they will achieve 2 million tests by June, and as at today, they've done 33,970 cheesy

How on earth can a human being be having problem with infection rate? Infection rate for God's sake! Have you informed the virus to limit its infection to a fixed number of people and have you also gone round to inform the of people that should report for the test and have you stated and empowered the system to test a limited number of people?
So it is when the number is constant you want to believe?

Thunder fire anyone calling for total lockdown to go and die of hunger virus.
During lockdown, we expect fumigation of the entire nation, provision of reasonable palliative, constant supply of power that could encourage people stay indoor but to no avail.
Total lockdown cannot work in Nigeria.
Release all the people in isolation centres to go and take hot agbo and good food they will all recover.

You see their evil plan about Rivers State. We were obeying our governor and adhering to the lockdown till Buhari withdrew the Police from the borders...now see what we face in Rivers State.

Buhari and his evil men should leave Rivers State to be controlled by the governor for our own good. Anything Buhari touches or speaks about turns deadly. We don't want bloodshed and restlessness.

Why do they want to expose us all in Rivers State, what's their plan for withdrawing the police..Buhari and the evil men talked about Rivers State...now we've climbed from 7 cases to 51 within ten days...

Why why why. How can someone wish us death like this for Gods sake? See how Kaduna is reducing cos of the proactiveness of the governor there but our own here is they must be exposed and die...

I feel so bad right now.
God deliver us from this govt
Stop blaming Buhari. Rivers state recently got their own testing center that's why there are a lot of confirmed cases.
