Does anyone else have brain quiver or brain shake? I constantly get this feeling - some times when I'm trying to think, sometimes when I'm tired, sometimes for nonapparent reason at all. It often starts with a feeling of tickling up the middle of my forehead, before a full sensation of (my brain is quivering like a jelly) shaking oR quivering inside my skull starts. Sometimes my eyes are affected, and sometimes not, sometimes it starts when I'm sitting still trying to have s quiet minute, an sometimes just when I'm out and about , but usually I'd say it's a due to lack of sleep. Either way is very disturbing sad

If you have any of the above, just stop using any depersant drug. Whatever medication you are taken before or now should be approved by medical specialist.

Please doctors in the house I need your help;

I noticed it first last year but I didn't pay attention to it thinking it was normal for one to be lightheaded after walking under the sun for a couple of minutes. Immediately it happened, I laid down on the bare floor like that till the sun goes down( I noticed peeps were shouting at my friend to do something to help me, I just signalled for her to let me be because I couldn't move a muscle so there's nothing she could have done to help me at that moment ).

Now the reason why I created this thread is that it repeated itself again today and it was sooo embarrassing because it happened in the market where I went to get some food items. Some market women had to empty chilled water on me from head to toe cry took me about 20minutes to get acquainted with my surroundings.

Meanwhile, while growing up I noticed my body doesn't fancy the sun that much but I thought as I get older, everything would have normalized.
Please who has experienced this before and how did you overcome it?
Doctors in the house, what could be the cause of it and the solutions?
Thank you
P.S: Someone said I have a light blood and pressure isn't good for me, please how true is that and can one be assumed to have a light blood (if there's any word like that)
Ogbanje grin sorry I had to say that.

Don't know if it's true but that's their characteristics

Heat syncope is sometimes a symptom of a nervous system, metabolic, or cardiovascular problem that needs further medical evaluation

Re: I Easily Lose Consciousness If I Stay In The Sun by PerseDew(f): 3:06pm On Nov 19, 2020
No idea OP but my own is that the sun can be disorientating.

Let me use this opportunity to let Nigerians know that just because we are africans it does not man we should go out in the sun anyhow especially without suncreen even when in the abroad. The myth of the sun has no effect on africans in the body and on the skin is not true. Coming from the skin angle, the bad effects of sun on our skin has been taken as the norm that is why you will see a chocolate complexioned body but a face and neck like charcoal not to talk of those ones that are a much lighter shade with a face several shades darker. The fact that your friend or sibling does not get affected does not mean the case has to be same for you.

Some people will stay 1 hour straight under the sun and will comeback without a trace of sun tan while some will spend just 10 mins and they will look they've been farming since morning. So if you can, try to avoid the sun between 10 and 3 - 5 pm and incorporate long sleeves, hats, face caps in your everyday wear or use an umbrella. If you can find a good and matching suncreen use it. In years to come you will appreciate it.

My friend you need to check your blood pressure and do diabetics test urgently. Lightheadedness is mostly link to LBP, HBP or diabetics. In a worst case scenario you may be experiencing signs of paralysis which means your case is tending towards stroke. Try to avoid direct sunlight for far too long, and see a doctor for proper diagnosis and prescriptions.

It might quite easy be dehydration, especially if the sun is hot. But I'm guessing it doesn't happen every single moment u step in the sun. Dehydration coupled with the stress of market etc. Nothing to be afraid or alarmed about, but when u can u can do a checkup.

How far Michelle? What you described is called Heatsroke or heat exhaustion sometimes. Sometimes it happens normally and sometimes it might be because of underlying cause. You have to see a doctor for this one, I don’t think you’ll find a definitive answer on Nairaland. It’s your health so don’t leave it to others ok?
