The murder of George Floyd, a Black American by a white police officer, Derek Chuavin has sparked a nationwide protest in the United States leading to an imminent lock down of the White house as the protest hits the Washington, the state capital.

From information obtained by News9naija from reliable sources on the scene of the protests, several persons has been arrested even as the protesters clash further with the police.
