PATIENTS who stop showing Coronavirus symptoms —fever and respiratory, will be discharged without waiting for a laboratory negative test.
Why? Why not ascertain that their virus load has fallen significantly to near-safe levels before letting them back out into the population?

New scientific findings show the virus is not viable after 10days. At least that's what ncdc is saying

Thats clinically correct. I believe more than half of those active numbers are asymptomatic. They'd be discharge enmasse soon. Our hope is high.

It is gradually becoming obvious that NCDC are not honest about COVID-19 in Nigeria.
God will judge NCDC and the government for conspiring to bring untold hardship to Nigerians and looting our money.

Didn't you read the post from the beginning?, he said new facts emerging from Singapore suggest that asymptomatic patient become uninfectious 10days after testing positive, this means the viral RNA lost its viability along the line prompting the WHO to order a new guidelines protocol , but to be on the safer side, NCDC extends it to 14days which is 2weeks.
Remember Covid-19 is a novel virus, many things are not yet known about it, but we Scientists are working 24/7 to unravel more, so I can assure you that in the coming days there will be some emerging facts about Covid-19 which will eventually render the old guidelines obsolete.

The more reason why we shouldn't do away with the current precautionary testing practices we have in place until we are sure of these findings.

In RT-PCR we don't do viral loading or count, what we do is detecting the SARS-Cov2 genetic code, that is present in the sample. We have mastered SARS-Cov2 (what you lay man called Covid-19) genetic code which serves as a standard, after reverse transcription and amplifications reactions of the samples RNA, we then compare the matchetibility of the synthesized genome with the standard, all this is done automatedly.

Close to 80% of covid 19 cases will be asymptomatic. That does not mean they don't have it or can't share it. They can self resolve after sometime. NCDC is doing the right thing. I see no need for the criticism, safe it for better issues.

No, in a Biosafety policy, the protocol is "handle all samples as infectious", just like you don't take risk even you see the risk to be 0.000001.

That is it! If you're having a fever or malaria symptoms, you're automatically a covid-19 patient... That's how we arrived at the numbers of active cases.

Why do I just feel that may patients were not coronavirus infected, probably faulty test kit or infected during the testing time.

This is the WHO guideline based in New findings that after 10 days, it has been discovered that patients are no longer infectious. A doctor told me this 2 weeks ago that it's the new information they have received.

. But you fall my hand oo, big time. Read to understand my friend.

The NCDC said this followed new data from Singapore that showed that RNA detected beyond 10 days is no longer infectious as no viable virus is grown by a viral culture. Such patients will be asked to go home but advised to continue self-isolation one week after discharge.

Honestly, we need to really stay alert, do independent researches and make choices/decisions beneficial for us.

The media is a very dangerous tool for mind programming and control.
