Even though his existence might have been useless to his family, it seems his death is a great blessing to them.

I know at this point, if options were placed before his family to choose between reversing his death or him staying dead, obviously none would want him back anymore. Or if his dead body showed any sign of movement while being laid to rest, I won't be surprised if his youngest daughter was the first person to pull the trigger, just to make sure the devil didn't disrupt all the blessings that have been flowing their way.
