At about 09. 00am Jun 20, ISWAP/BOKO HARAM terrorist attacked Fodoma Koloram Village, near Kafiya Forest, Zowo Ward East of Gubio, Gubio LGA. Updated information o in Gubio revealed that the insurgents killed about 57 people before the arrival of troops from SRA Gubio. Death toll is now 70 and will keep rising as many were badly wounded. They run over many people with vehicles and trapped them under wheels - then finished them off with bullets. The survivors are critically wounded.
Sources reported that this was premised on revenge because people in Gubio formed vigilante groups to stop ISWAP from stealing their cows. This pattern of attack is seriously spreading across northern Borno. Recently, terrorist flogged persons sited at Kukawa and Marte LGAs in response to establish fear and disrupt plans by State Govt intent on returning IDPs to their war ridden LGAs.
