Guys, I just got a Honda Civic 08

But it doesn’t have ground clearance. I’m thinking of raising the shocks. Kindly advise if there is any disadvantages to raising the shock absorber

Thanks in anticipation

By the time u raise it, you no go like the balance and shape of the car again. Raising not properly done will disfigure the car.

I will strongly advice against raising shock absorber.
My suggestion is - buy the highest available rim size. I think it uses 14R tyre.

Rather switch to 15 or 16inch rim with a corresponding big tyre that won't touch arc wall

Little padding of the shock bolt by using cut tyre as washer will raise it a bit without altering the shape and balance.
