Water baptism is one among the three ordinance Jesus gave the church ⛪ to practice

*What's the proper way for baptism*

1. Should we baptise using the title of *father, son and Holy Spirit.*

According to Matthew he said baptism should be done in the name of father, son and Holy Spirit, according to this scripture
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Now scripture said it should be in the name of father, son and Holy Spirit..
Now let us consider this.. We all have fathers, and if you are a male you are also a son... If anyone ask us, what's your father name.. We can't say father, the reason is because.. Father is an attribute of a man who have given birth, and the man must have is personal name like "Ebruphiyo" etc
So when Bible said baptise them in the name of father it equally means a personal name apart from his title as Father.. I hope you understand.. Lets go further.. When this instructions was given, it wasn't given to any pastor or general overseer, it was given to the disciple... Now let's see how the disciple obey the instructions that was given to them for we 21 century believer should follow...

2. Should we baptise using the name of *Lord Jesus Christ*??
This is a serious question..... The disciple accepted the instructions of Jesus which mathew recorded, now let's see how the rest of the apostles obey this baptism instruction... After the Holy Ghost fell upon them to teach them, Peter said

*Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.*

Is Peter against mathew?? Actually no, because mathew was present when Peter make this remark and he didn't say no you are wrong... Let's go further, another apostle name Philip carried out the actual manifestation of baptism, let's see the name he used

*Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.*
Please let's think about this.... Two apostles baptise using the name of Jesus

Again in another verse as i quote

*Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)*

Will two notable apostles go against Christ
Actually no, let's go further to see what Paul will react to this issue..

Those who have been baptise immersion, were baptized again in the name of Jesus by Paul

*Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? So is Paul, Peter and Philip the apostles of Jesus are against Mathew?

Actually no.. They understood what mathew wrote and what Jesus instructed
They knew the name of the Father is Lord
The name of the son is Jesus
And the name of the Holy Spirit is Christ, that's why all baptism was Done in the name of Jesus Christ......

@OP, the word or God, thst which comes out of the mouth of Jesus Christ is not meant to be debated, but instead taken as-is and obeyed.

Being baptized as Jesus Christ commanded is the right way, since the Father, son and Spirit of God all reside in those who belong to Him.

I believe you have a point here, and it may answer a lot of questions as regards why baptisms became ineffective as far as imparting the Spirit of God, after the accounts in Acts.

Being that i have never had the opportunity to baptize anyone, i have no way of testing this to be sure. So u ask if you have and what was the result?
