No matter the situation of the country, Nigerians will not stop loving Nigeria. Nigerians only hate the system and government policies. You just need to visit the airport during festive periods and behold thousands of Nigerians trooping into the country

Nigerians love ‘Awoof (freebie)’. So much so that we are always looking for free browsing, free wifi, free credit, free money, free food, free date. Anything free, we love. That's why you see several Nigerian celebrities doing lots of giveaways on social media.




3. Travelling outside the country

There is a saying that "If you visit any country you do not find a Nigerian, you should leave" Meeeeen!!! Nigerians love travelling outside the country.

Just like in every part of the world where sports bring a lot of fans, Nigerians are not an exception.  We love sports so much. These days, ladies are now getting involved. We see sports as a means of bonding together even with our enemies.

Super Eagles may not be meeting the expectation of Nigerians sometimes, but that has not stopped us from loving soccer. The premier league has become a god that is worshipped during the weekends.

Nigerians love to party, party hard. No weekend passes by without party in Nigeria.  You can feel the vibe when you smell the weekend air in Nigeria.

Event centers cashing out week-in week-out. The colourful attires, the displays of local artistes or DJs, the settings, and the food bring thousands of Nigerians outside their homes for "Owanbe". This is a way to unwind after a stressful week in Nigeria. We simply love attending ‘Owanbe’ as the Yoruba people call it.




8. Nigerians are always excited about 'change'

Change excites us. We love change so much because we believe it will bring a ray of hope, or affect us or make us feel among or not left out of a trend or movement. We believe that every change would give us a ray of hope or affect us.

Regardless of the change, we are passionate to know how we can benefit from it.

This change could be seen in a new drink, new slangs, new fashion, new political leaders, new Super Eagle’s coach, even change from a bus conductor. We really love change.




9. Nigerians are VERY hardworking

Nigerians are no lazy youths. Most Nigerians have legitimate jobs and would rather die than get involved in criminal activities

Nigerians love cars so much, especially the luxury and the latest models in town. We celebrate the arrival of our new cars like we celebrate the birth of a new baby.

We even celebrate a luxury car whenever it drives past us. We sometimes organize parties to celebrate the arrival of a brand new car. Of course, it mustn’t be brand new. Whether it is ‘tokunbo’ or new, a new car is a new car to us.




11. We are passionate about being successful

The major reason Nigerians work hard is because of our passion for success and making cash. Nigerians often care less about the nature of the job as long as the job is good enough to earn them enough money and make them successful.

It is in our genes to be successful and rich.

Blood is thicker than water. No matter how crazy our schedule is, we don't joke with 'blood'. We love our family so much. This is the best cult we can ever join because that is where we can be the kings and queens we may not be outside.

Getting admission into a tertiary institute is something that is held in high regard all over the country. We even sometimes go to church to share the testimony when we gain admission into a tertiary institution.

We push even those who do not like education to do anything around education.




18. We are 5 and 6 with religion

Most Nigerians believe we are the most religious people on the face of the earth. Just a peep from your compound, and you will see several religious places.

We do not play with our religious days and some extremists can even die for their religion.  We strongly believe in the existence of God




19. We love weddings

We are passionate about getting married and attending weddings. if as a non-Nigerian, you happen to be in the midst of Nigerians planning a wedding, you would think they are planning for the arrival of a great king.

The choice of 'aso-ebi', food, music, dance steps, and so on.

Attending a Nigerian wedding is always fun especially the reception.




20. We cannot erase our culture

Although technology is developing faster every day and the world gradually becoming a global village, many Nigerians sill celebrate their culture.

We may not be practicing these cultures in our modern towns and cities, but when it is time to exhibit our roots, we do that with pride and joy
