Actually, I have no problem with people having delusions or worshipping whatever they feel should be worshipped. I only have a problem with the fact that they don't keep their delusions to themselves. Religion should be a personal thing, not something that should be brought up all the time.

Lol the earth and all other old things are dated using carbon dating... which works fine except that it only works for things that once lived, non living things cannot be carbon dated ergo we cannot - at least for now - ascertain the age of the earth. since it never lived. Read up on carbon-14 dating if you do not know. Scientists also guess, they make assumptions which is very useful to their work. however some assumptions are based on a wrong premise. (in this case that any thing can be carbon dated, which they later discovered they were wrong but couldn't retract) Choosing to just believe in science is believing in the ignorance of experts.
