Delta State is a sport state and the undisputed sport capital of Nigeria. The state has won the past two National Sport Festival held in Nigeria. It was already preparing massively for that to be held in Edo but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The state also spends much on athletes. We are about to expose how they were able to achieve this. These are the top four sport stadiums in Delta State: 1. STEPHEN KESHI STADIUM, ASABA. Stephen Keshi Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Asaba, Nigeria. It was formerly known as Asaba township stadium, and was named after football great, Stephen Keshi. The stadium hosted the 2018 African Championships in Athletics and has a capacity of 22,000 people, all covered. It was commissioned in 2018. 5 Likes

2. OZORO POLYTECHNIC STADIUM, OZORO Ozoro Polytechnic Stadium is also a multi-purpose stadium in Ozoro, Delta. It is inside the premises of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. The stadium was contructed by the school under the leadership of the former Rector, Dr. Jacob Oboreh and has a capacity of 14,000 people, all fully covered. 14 Likes

3. WARRI TOWNSHIP STADIUM, WARRI Warri Township Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Warri, Nigeria in Cemetery Road. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the regular home for Warri Wolves F.C.. The stadium hosted the final tournament for the 2006 Women's African Football Championship and has a capacity of 20,000 people, all covered. 4. SAPELE TOWNSHIP STADIUM, SAPELE Sapele Township Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sapele, Nigeria. It is used mostly for football matches and athletics. It was once the temporary home stadium of Bayelsa United F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 16,000 people. It was finally finished in 2013 after years of delays. 5 Likes

Delta state is truly the leader of sports in Nigeria.From dominating the Nigeria sports festival,to producing Nigeria finnest sport personnel's,to having the best sport facilities in the country.You didn't add OGHARA stadium it hosted games at the African women championship in 2002 & 2006,UGHELLI stadium,SAPELE stadium,Oghwashukwu Stadium all of which are better than most NPFL stadiums in the country. 60 Likes 2 Shares |

This is actually nice, no wonder most of our home games are played in Asaba , the national stadium abuja in the other hand is in a state of quagmire, they have left grass to outgrown the carpet grass in the pitch and they allow Fulani to bring cows to feed on the grasses thereby messing up the whole place with cow dungs.
