Tragedy struck in Serbia on August 7, 2020 as a popular Nigerian basketball player Michael Ojo, was pronounced dead by his last club on Friday.

The Lagos born basketballer who played for KK Crvenazvezda Basketball club died at the age of 27years in the capital city of Belgrade in Serbia. He was 216 centimetres tall and weighed 147 kilograms wore the Red Star Jersey with number 50 for the first time before the start of the management of KK Crvena zvezda.

The club stated that his sudden death was a great shock and deeply affected everyone, the players coaches , management and board of the club in which he was accepted from day one and has won many trophies for the club were shocked and has won the hearts of many Zveda players and well-meaning basketball fans in Serbia.
