Yes, it should not have happened....but if it was Army rule, he would have been in jail permanently, and a decree would have been passed by fiat to keep him there(And it happened). Instead, he was called to DSS office with his lawyers present and left after a few hours.

The security Chiefs cannot stop a coup.

Most of the times it's the middle ranked officers that stage coups and the chiefs are always victims in a coup
