cool

Yes he is, if not for warriors like Lisabi , Alake of egba land would still bow before an Aree Ona kakanfo

In the days of Iba Olunloye as Aeere Ona kakanfo many kings dare not speak to him, just as only Ooni , Aare Ona kakanfo , Oyo mesiogo had direct link to Iku Baba yeye

It's like comparing the number one Warrior of Sokoto Emirates under Sultan of Sokoto caliphate to mere Emir of dutse

Oyo Empire was the ruling kingdom over other Yoruba kingdoms of old, and Aare Ona Kakanfo was the Commander-General of their army, so naturally, kings of kingdoms subject to Oyo would have to be subject to such a senior millitary officer.

Judging by the fact that nowadays there's a king on almost every street in yorubaland nowadays, this should not surprise anybody.

And why Crowned Oba don't bow to Alaafin when they meet in Occasion?

The authorities of old are no longer rigidly followed. You know, Oyo Empire doesn't old away anymore. It is now left to politics and personal preference.

It is power that brings respect. And traditional offices are more of ceremonial officials nowadays. Even ordinary citizens may not give them the traditional respect, if he so wishes. That explains it.
