And may all your days be filled with tears.
And all your night with pains
You go west you encounter hardship
You go east sorrow
Your enemies will overcome you
and all your days be like hell.
You will be miserable and joy will depart from you life.
Ameen

It will not happen to me because I am always happy for the success of any Nigerian. But you hateful soul came to mock my homeland...you played yourself

I'm really thinking of setting up a technology driven ranch in the East. Anyone has any idea on the setback I might encounter?

You have to go into deep rural areas for cheaper land acquisition and if you decide to do so, then get ready to supply your electricity. Also, good road access to evacuate your produce.

Ebonyi state is ideal in my opinion.

Anambra is on the right track. It is good to take advantage of your immediate environment. Every state have one or two comparative advantage that could be exploited if the state government is serious. Thank God Obiano is not sleeping on duty.

God bless Ala Igbo.

Go and sit down.

Would the rice mills be milling nothing?

Why has it taken 50 odd years for such rice mills to suddenly be springing up everywhere around the country?

Would your rice mill be profitable if we allow willy nilly imports of rice?

By the way, take this:

Emefiele while commending Cocharis Farms, said: ”We started this with him, almost about two years ago when we granted him a N2 billion Commercial Agricultural Credit Scheme (CACS). With his own resources, he added to it and that is why he is where he is today. Those are the type of things we need to continue to encourage. And about a month ago, he came to the CBN that we need to come and see what he has done with the CACS fund we gave to him.

You guys don't like the truth.

Watch how he would look for another excuse.
CBN Gov said 2 yrs ago in 2016, that should be 2014 right. Who was the president then?

You're right.

60% of the land of Israel is desert,
Israel turns barren desert into useful and arable land, thanks to science.
They invest much in science/research.

China is doing the same thing.

The 1st 3 pictures are from Israel, the last one is from China.

See how fresh the plants from desert are, more fresh than the ones we produce in our so called fertile land.
With the help of science,

while here the north can't even do real agriculture with semi desert ... rearing cattle up and down

The problem is not laziness of the leaders.

The problem is that the generality of the people are evil and corrupt.

Nigerians don't like the truth but it is what it is.

It's the duty of the leaders/ government to impact discipline on the masses by disciplining themselves first. Many countries where worst than Nigeria bt the powers that were said enough is enough. Our case is different old, stupid, unreasonable, folks in power

Who do you call your leader?

Is it your father?

Perhaps your school teacher?

A religious leader?

Local government officials?

Governor?

President?

David or Hushpuppi?

I feel the average Nigerian often clamours the thing he cannot give.

We say leader but choose in our heads, one who is so disconnected from us, sometimes through no fault of his, as our leader.

Your leader must be that in your immediate vicinity.

It is that circle of influence that grows larger.

When you are good and upright, your actions are felt by those in your circle.

If a society is made up of such similar traits, it would engender a field of national leaders with such qualities.

This dream of expecting an angel in a society of devils is truly unachievable.

Africa and Nigeria in general is poor and hungry because of lack of leadership direction and laziness of our people. Manna does not fall from heaven in this modern time. You must WORK for manna to fall!

My friend, Nigerians are one of the world most hardworking people. Stop promoting the stereotype put forward by thieving and intellectually-lazy politicians who have failed in providing needed leadership.

I hope you remember it was Obiano's administration investors took over moribund Omor rice mill and refurbished the mill today the mill is producing rice, same Gov Obiano administration Coscharis started his rice farming and milling, I hope you listen to Coscharis speech the day his mill was commissioned, also under Obiano's watch the biggest poultry farm was built in Igbariam, so credit to Obiano

I cant come low to your level. You can run with your fellows.
Golan007:

Hahahaha.

My link says it all.

This government has supported the industrial scale production of rice you witness in Nigeria today.

You can argue, bitch even insult but it would not change the fact.

Coscharis that you are lauding received a 2 billion Naira facility from the government.

Yes, the very same government you cannot even get yourself to appreciate.

Coscharis would only be laughing at you and your likes.

Set back? smiley smiley smiley

It will be highly capital intensive as you will have to bear all Cost associated with Infrastructures especially electricity. Aside that, I don't see any other factor that will affect your project. Even though Nigeria is an EM, the reverse is the case when it comes to the Food and Agricultural Market.

Government policies won't affect you negatively but on a positive note. Ranging from reduction in tax, access to loan and extension services. smiley smiley

Nice insight. Setback I meant is basically security.
