Your immune system begins in your gut, all the different bacteria that live there are called the gut-microbiome (composed of bacteria, bacteriophage, fungi, protozoa and viruses. They help digest our food regulate our immune system, protect them against other bacteria that causes disease, and produce vitamins including Vitamins B12, thiamine, riboflavin and vitamin K, which is needed for blood coagulation).
