I don't know about other MIUI versions but the MIUI 12 has some functionality that I expect only on premium phones. How does it work? On activation, you provide an emergency number which receives the SOS emergency SMS containing a link to track your location. The beauty of it is that it offers real time tracking of your device location and uses both your network and phone GPS to track your device. It also tracks your device even when the SIM card has been removed and alert you when SIM card has been replaced. Although the functionality is ment to call for help in case of emergency, but in this side of our country, it will be effective in capturing phone thieves. You can try it out. Press the power button in quick succession continually to open the menu. After activation, press 5 times in quick succession to send your first SOS message to test this functionality. SMS charges apply. 2 Likes |

this feature is also availabe on my huawei but it doesnt track just sms |
