*Firstly Shirk come in*: when an Act of Ibadah(dt we are using to serve ALLAH) is bn used to bn given/Honor any other person (Mankind or Jinn)

*Bowing,GENUFLECTING(Rukuuh),Prostration(Sujuud),kneeling E.T.C are aspect of IBAADAH to ALLAH.*
Doing it to Serve or Honour anyone Is SHIRKUL AKBAR that win Ruin d Islam of d Doer.

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ *قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَلْقَى أَخَاهُ أَوْ صَدِيقَهُ أَيَنْحَنِي لَهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَفَيَلْتَزِمُهُ وَيُقَبِّلُهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَفَيَأْخُذُ بِيَدِهِ وَيُصَافِحُهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ نَعَمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ‏.‏*

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that a man said: *"O Messenger of Allah! When a man among us meets his brother or his friend should he bow to him?" He said: "No." The man continued: "Should he embrace him and kiss him?" He said: "No." He said: "Should he take his hand and shake it?" He said: "Yes."*

حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مُعَاذٌ مِنَ الشَّامِ سَجَدَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏‏ مَا هَذَا يَا مُعَاذُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ *قَالَ أَتَيْتُ الشَّامَ فَوَافَقْتُهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ لأَسَاقِفَتِهِمْ وَبَطَارِقَتِهِمْ فَوَدِدْتُ فِي نَفْسِي أَنْ نَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِكَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏"‏ فَلاَ تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنِّي لَوْ كُنْتُ آمِرًا أَحَدًا أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ لأَمَرْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِزَوْجِهَا وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لاَ تُؤَدِّي الْمَرْأَةُ حَقَّ رَبِّهَا حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَ حَقَّ زَوْجِهَا وَلَوْ سَأَلَهَا نَفْسَهَا وَهِيَ عَلَى قَتَبٍ لَمْ تَمْنَعْهُ ‏"‏* ‏.

It was narrated that:
*Abdullah bin Abu Awfa said "When Muadh bin Jabal came from Sham, he prostrated to the Prophet who said: 'What is this, O Muadh?' He said: 'I went to Sham and saw them prostrating to their bishops and patricians and I wanted to do that for you.' The messenger of Allah said: 'Do not do that. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! No woman can fulfill her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for intimacy) even if she is on her camel saddle, she should not refuse.' "*

ABU Harairah reported dt d Prophet said dt: *"Allah said dt I am the Superior those who Associated partners in Worship,any body dt do any deed(Worship or no Worship deeds)& he or she Associated partners wt me in it(dt Act), I shall Abandon him & his Polytheism(Associating Partners wt ALLAH in any act or Worship)*

Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 18:
*أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُومُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ* وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ الْعَذَابُ وَمَن يُهِنِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ

*Do you not see that Allah is He, Whom (obey: Bow,Genuflect, Prostrate,e.t.c) whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains and the trees, and the animals* and many of the people; and many there are against whom chastisement has become necessary; and whomsoever Allah abases, there is none who can make him honorable; surely Allah does what He pleases.

*SUJUD IN SHARIAH AND ARABIC* : Mean any Act of Bowing, Genuflection, Kneeling, Prostration to great or Worship Somebody or Something.

Surah Ar-Rad, Verse 15:
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَظِلَالُهُم بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ

And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve.

Surah Ar-Rad, Verse 16:
قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّورُ أَمْ جَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُوا كَخَلْقِهِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ

Say: Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?-- Say: Allah. Say: Do you take then besides Him guardians who do not control any profit or harm for themselves? Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme.

� Hadith: Anas ibne-Malik Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Verily, the slave of Allah, when he is placed in his grave, and his companions depart, he indeed hears the beat of their sandals, and then two angels come to him and make him sit up and ask: What did you use to say of this man, Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi wassallum? As for the Mu'min (believer) he will say: I bear witness that he is the slave of Allah and His Messenger. It will then be said to him: Look towards your dwelling in Hell; Allah has replaced it with a dwelling in Paradise. He will then see both the dwellings.

✺ And as for the Munafiq (hypocrite) and Kafir (unbeliever), it will be said to them: What did you use to say concerning this man? He will reply: I do not know; I used to say what the people were saying. It will then be said to him: Indeed, you knew not, nor did you follow those who knew. Then, he will be beaten by hammers of iron, causing him to scream, the sound of which will be heard by everyone around him except men and Jinn. (Bukhari: 1374)

All scholars of sunnah, past and present are upon this, he has quoted enough Aayaat and ahaadeeth to explain the concept. As for Jabata and his followers, they believe frustrating bowing, prostrating and kneeling for any reason is shirk. They don't differentiate between doing those actions for greeting or worship which is wrong.
Allãh Ta'ãlã commanded the angels to prostrate for Ãdam, if it is shirk, He won't have commanded them to do that because is not permissible at any time since creation.
