I saw this answer on quora and I believe its worth sharing

Question:
Why is the West interested in when Paul Kagame is leaving office rather than focusing what he has been doing throughout his presidential term for the Rwandan people?

Answer:
Other answers have already covered it. It’s very ironic that they complain about foreign interference in their national affairs, but they go back and do the same thing to developing nations, across Africa. In Rwanda, the West has been pushing their agenda against President Paul Kagame, calling him, all sorts of names, and publishing propaganda in their media.

However, Paul Kagame has continued to stand strong. He had kept to deliver to the people of Rwanda. He is supported by his people. He has so much support from the Rwandan people and they are the ones who will determine his fate. For Rwandans, there are still more work to do and Kagame delivers the results. Follow

Basically, there are some powers who feel they are entitled to how developing countries in Africa should be governed. In their infinite “wisdom”, they want to dictate how Rwanda should be governed. The irony is that this is a country, which they ignored when they need the most help, many years ago. Now, the people of Rwanda, led by Paul Kagame, have managed to work together to rebuild their nation, some Western powers wants to disturb their well-being, peace and security.

Throughout the past 25 years, Rwandan people have had to make decisions that surprised the West. Rwanda ignored most of their suggestions and went on with their own homegrown solutions. Despite all the challenges, Rwandans have kept pushing through and have ignored the noise from the outside. Against all odds, Rwanda is here to stay.

President Paul Kagame is focused on building Rwanda and will continue to work for his people. As far as we are concerned, majority of Rwandans love and are enjoying the fruits of his leadership and governance system. If you really want to know about Paul Kagame, ask Rwandans.

My own question now is, when are we going to have a leader in Nigeria who we citizens can defend like this without prejudice?

Lol... He is no longer the poster boy for the west.

He must have struck a nerve of the global imperialist.. They do this in Africa a lot, ask Gaddafi and as usual AU is a toothless dog.

My question is when will they do all this to China or Russia..

Leave Rwandans to themselves and let the people decide.

Because the west and uncle Sammy are the world worst terrorist organisation. They prosper by making others fail.
