How Do We Interpret The Oil, Fire And Light In The Parable Of The 10 Virgins? by OpenYourEyes1: 7:37am On Oct 08, 2020
If the oil is the fuel/food of the lamp, which the fire is produced from to lighten the surrounding....what then is the most appropriate things in the Holy Bible to compare the Oil (food), fire and light with?

The Word of GOD is usually represented by food, while HOLY Spirit represents fire and the fire produces the light for us to see in the dark.

The oil is Righteousness, a result of doing Works of righteousness in accordance to that which God has commanded. The light is the light that is Jesus Christ which shines bright in the lives of all those who are saved AND do works of righteousness.

Righteousness is the source of power for the light, Jesus Christ, that shines throughh through for those who live in obedience to the Will of God.
