In the last two write-ups, I have successfully discussed what differentiate copywriting and content writing.
You can take a few minutes to read it up in the link below.

Whatever the type of copy you intent to write, either a newsletter, sales letter, sales page or web copy, there are some essential element that makes up a copy.
Below are the essential element along with a brief description
1. The Headline: All copywriters agreed that this is the most important copy element. One of the greatest copywriter David oglivy said “On the average, five times as many people read headline as they read the body copy, when you have written your headline, you have spent every cent of your dollar.”
The headline is what decide if people will actually open your letter, read your article or even click on your ad.
2. The Lead: After the headline, this is second most important element of a copy. It is the first sentence of any copy, it main purpose is to get the reader interested enough to want to continue reading to the next sentence.
Miss the lead, lose the reader.
3. The body: This is where you let the reader know everything, you want them to know abut the product or service, most importantly the benefit. David Ogilvy recommended talking about the subject matter without beating around the bush.
The length of your copy can either be long or shot depending on how much information you want your reader to have.
Your body copy can also include stories, testimonies about your products.
4. Your Offer: “Without an offer, marketing is useless ”_Unknown. An offer is what you have for the readers. You need to write an irresistible offer so as to ensure your copy does what you intend it to do.
5. Call To Action: This is where you tell your readers what to do. Do you want them to subscribe to your newsletter, buy your product or download a book.
A copy without a CTA (call to action) is a mere a story. You need to tell them what to do and make it simple for them to do it.
