ahhh. . . .
Indomie!!! This heaven sent thingy saved my life during my NYSC, especially since i couldn't cook at all.

My favourite recipe:

Cook indomie any way u possibly can
Strain away the excess water ( i just wasn't able to cook indomie without it being waterlogged at the end)
Put cooked indomie between slices of bread

Wolf mixture down, stopping only to gulp down a hi-protein drink (fresh milk was my preferred brew)

Simple!

hello friends,

I was told by a Pharmacist friend of mine, that eating indomie raw could result in cancer, so be careful ladies and gents that indulge in such.

cheers.

@ ntuedor

u are very correct1

i had a chat once with their staff and he told me that it is not advisable to eat it raw
cos of the health factor
Re: Exciting Recipes With Indomie! by TaxMan(m): 6:15pm On May 04, 2007
I find it hard to believe that eating raw indoomie can result in Cancer! embarassed
If this were true, I'm sure NAFDAC would have detected and compelled the producers to publish this fact.
Noonetheless, I will take your cue and spread the Gospel according to ntuedor .

Re: Exciting Recipes With Indomie! by sosoella(f): 4:21pm On Jun 02, 2007
why dont you check out this recipe,
you'll  need 3 pcks of indomie
1 fresh pepper,
2 fresh tomatoes,
1/4 onion,
dry pepper,
thyme,
2 eggs,
1 sardine

PART ONE

winkpour water into pot and place the indomie
(either squash or leave them d way they came)
dont wait for the water to boil.

winkadd the 2 packs of d sauce and chilli immediately followed by dry pepper and thyme
(remember not to use d 3 sauces 4 d indomie, use 2 and reserve the 3rd 4 the egg. but u can use the 3 chillis)
cover pot and leave to boil 4 3mins.

winkkeep an eye on the pot n just b/4 u bring it down, strain the oil from the sardine and stir into the indomie.
part one is over bring it down!!!

PART TWO

smiley beat the eggs and squashed sardines together, add pinch of salt and the THIRD sauce(.(VERY IMPT)
fry the diced tomatoes , pepper and onions first b4 adding the egg/sadine mixture. make n omellette and ure good to go.

serve the omelette n indomie,   wink wink wink wink

note that each step is very important for u to reproduce this recipe,  my apologies if this recipe seems lenghty its easy to cook.

Re: Exciting Recipes With Indomie! by NiteAngel(m): 5:18am On Jun 29, 2007
In response to the person who asked what indomie is; you definetely can find different brands of noodles in different parts of the word but the Nigerian indomie with sachet spice takes the amazing taste buds of Nigerians into consideration. In my travel across lands I've come to realise the spice tastes better.

Indomie can be cooked in a series of ways adding whatever could turn it into a real meal - plantain, beef, fish, veggies etc - instead of simply a snack.

So many things lead to cancer especially frozen and processed foods (what do you expect when hen can be grown to edible size in 3 days!) but the fear of losing markets will not make food processors, etc bring it out in the open. So eat more of fresh/organic food.

@ sosella that's a way i also do it. You can also use geisha.
When i prepare it like that, guys are always surprised that you could prepare it like that. Most people are lazy to enjoy it.

yebarbie: Snazzydawn, those recipes are  nice but don't you think that the noodles will get too soft and soggy if you add it first?
this is  how I do mine I really  love it.
Ingridents :
2 packets of noodles
2 medium sized or 3 small potatoes
2 medium sized tomatoes
2 to 3 small pepper
1 carrot
cabage
Onions
2 boiled eggs
Curry, thyme and one cube of knorr chicken

Method :
Slice all the ingredents and dice potatoes. Add in a pot with 1- 2 tablespoonful of oil. continue stirring and addind bits of water so that it does'nt burn. When the potato and carrot is half soft, add little water.put the eggs to boil.
Immediately the water starts to boil, add the noodles.
After one minute, put on low heat and allow to simmer.Peel eggs and slice.
Its ready to serve.

@ yebarbie
Sorry Beauty. if really u always eat it like this, then prepare to be drinking conk agbo jedi...
