What has tribe got to do with this?

There are tank explosions and implosion. Implosion from inside the tank and explosion from outside the tank due to leakage.

The problem is most of these tankers drivers are illiterates, they need to be train well.

I am not a scientist but i noticed when i put fuel inside a can and seal it, it expands, if the pressure can not come out, the can implode from inside. This simple observation is also similar with fuel in a sealed tank.

When fuel is put into a tight tank and sealed, the fuel expands the tank because of pressure, if the tank is not properly fabricated, the pressure can make tank to expand and cause leakage, if not taken seriously might lead to explosion.

The best way to control this, is when the tanker are filling in their fuel into their tank, they should wait for about 30 to 40 minutes before sealing the tank. It will help evaporate every pressure or they should install fuel vent in their tank to allow the tank to breathe. This method will help prevent implosion and also they should avoid parking their tanks in public area or by the side of the road, a proper trailer pack should be made for all these tankers

It is due to the permanent let go in this country at all levels. Nigeria has a rich soil, a very rich subsoil, an exceptional flora and fauna, this country benefits from several types of climate, is it not a curse if the population suffers on several points? If the white man had invaded Nigeria like South Africa, Nigeria would be very far today.

I hope these recurrent tanker and gas station explosions in Southern Nigeria are not low-key terrorist acts. It is just too much!

Lol. Bros what the correlation between ewedu and fire incident.

Well, i understand tribal wars and banters are a common thing on nairaland. Which I admit many of my tribesmen and women are active players.

But some of us aren't part of it. And I'm sure you are way smarter than this also.

I just want you to know that not all of us are ignorant and many of us love the ibos and people of other tribes and ethnic groups.

One love.

You will wonder why it's only in southern Nigeria that tankers explode. Not even a single case in the north, while ironically the north has higher temperatures all year round. Think...my people think.

Explosions and implosion can happen in any season.

Go read boyle and Charles laws to understand why fuel tanks are exploding.
