Following the recent rise in the number of COVID-19 infections in Lagos State, the State Government has made it compulsory for prospective couples to obtain approval from the state authorities to hold weddings with not more than 300 people in attendance.

The Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola stated this to newsmen after a brief meeting with the state's COVID-19 Safety Commission.

Lanre said;

Covid-19 now uses calculator before it strikes.

Anything more than 300 persons will upset Covid-19 and the mutant UK version will strike Nigeria without mercy.
