I just got an emergency travel document from london and though I live in Aberdeen and am leaving from Aberdeen, they put leaving from london uk on the form. does this matter? has anyone been in that situation?

Usually they should have put any UK port for you. You probably did not file your documents right.

the form did not ask for that information. Moreover I went back to complain and they would not change it, claiming that it does not matter. Do u think it matters?

truely this question will best be answered by the UK immigration official, why don't you call the immigration at the airport you are departing from or pay them a visit and ask before your date of your departure this way you make sure everything is intact.
