Well, it isn't necessarily about payment or the amount being paid. First, there is a need to understand the type of website. How is the volume of media contents like (videos and pictures), are these same contents hosted on the same website?

So there is a need to understand:

1. The said website's disk space
2. The average size of each page on the website

Then to arrive a possible cost or a wild guess, the hosting provider's rate must be taken into account since pricing vary from one Web hosting provider to another.

Generally, it is a bit difficult to guess without those factors.

Notice the amount of new visitors monthly vs the page views? A noob on SEO can no doubt tell that the stat is padded.

The site is a good site, no doubt but the stat is padded. Again, no Nigerian blog, forum or website hits 100 million unique page views monthly.

Agreed, we all know that. A Website with about 5000-10000 stable online on dedicated server shouldn't cost so much monthly?
I use vPs (cheapest spec) and my package could handle 1000-2000 online without going off or lagging also with a well optimized cache plugin, yet I don't pay much. Average dedicated server cost as low as $150-300$/monthly and with some certain specs needed, you can get reasonable price at $2k-4k$ monthly.
